Dessie Tutu was our first Rhodesian Ridgeback. Our son Max first became interested in Rhodesian Ridgebacks when he was visiting Africa in 2004. After his return to the U.S. he researched the breed and soon acquired Dessie. The family instantly fell in love with the aesthetics, temperament, and athleticism of the breed. We have been a Ridgeback household ever since.
We do participate in AKC shows, but do not require you to show your dog.
We are well equipped for the job of breeding Ridgebacks. Lisa has an BS Degree in Animal Science, and little time commitment away from our home in Northern California. We have a large yard with a lot of space for the puppies to explore and become comfortable with the outside world.
Our puppies are raised as a part of our family. They are well socialized with people, dogs and get to play in our garden. We breed for health, conformation, and temperament. Our dogs are OFA and genetic tested. Before our puppies are placed with a new family they will have been vaccinated and health checked by our veterinarian. All puppies will go to their new homes with a contract guaranteeing their health, registration papers, and medical records.
